The bus drivers' demands were retire at 57 with full medical benefits, although the currently contract had the retirement age slated for 62.
The terms of the agreement is unknown, but Westchester County Executive Andy Spano was very involved in helping reach an agreement between the union workers and the Bee-line. Liberty Lines President Jerry D'Amore stated in a press release, "Liberty Lines is pleased that the settlement has been reached. We thank Andy Spano for his involvement in helping to get the strike settled."
The press release issued also stated that low income workers and people who are on public assistance now may be eligible to be reimbursed for the money they spent on transportation during the strike.
